Softly Signaling Life

Softly Signaling Life

The little one bumps
In Morse code
Throughout the night
My hand rests gently
Listening intently to her
Trying to decipher babblings
From within the womb
Softly—through her mother’s skin
Until we both fade to sleep again

  1. Oh, I remember that. There is nothing like the feel of the first movement within the womb. Congratulations!
